How do I protect my domain from accidentally expiring or being hi-jacked?

Protect your domains by following these guidelines.

DO
  1. Keep track of expiration dates. It is your responsibility to keep accurate information.
  2. Keep your contact information, most importantly your contact email address, up-to date. Again it is your responsibility to keep accurate information.
  3. Request a Registrar Lock on your domains (where possible) by contacting our support desk.
  4. Try to avoid using free-email addresses as your contact address.
  5. Place "name.com.au" on your "approved sender" email list and have emails from us go straight to your inbox. Do not let SPAM filters prevent us from sending you important emails. 
  6. Renew your domain early and for long periods of time when possible. 
DO NOT
  1. Make sure you do not give other 3rd parties your member or domain password.
